Steven brings over a decade of deep experience in launching and growing businesses and solving problems from idea conception to developing and bringing technology to market. Steven is the co-founder and CEO of Curacubby, the leading integrated payments and business platform for schools of all sizes. As a thought leader in operations and process management, Steven has been featured in national media including CNN, Forbes.com, and Inc. Magazine. He currently serves as a mentor at the Envestnet | Yodlee Fintech Launchpad, and as an advisor to the Arrowhead Center of Innovation at New Mexico State University and previously a parent co-founder of an early education program for children with special needs. Prior to co-founding Curacubby, Steven founded Ice Chamber Athletic Performance Training and was the inventor of KettleGuard, the best-selling patented protective wrist device for kettlebell lifting. He was a member of the 2016-2017 Envestnet | Yodlee Incubator, an awarding-winning accelerator for next-generation fintech disruptors. Steven earned his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of California at Berkeley.
Brian Meckler

Brian co-founded Curacubby to create an easy-to-use technology tool for childcare and K-8 program directors who need a simple, less cumbersome, time-intensive approach to account management, including online registration and enrollment, billing and payment processing, email communications and more. He leads the team that developed the company’s flagship unified system and ensures schools using Curacubby get maximum value from the platform. Brian has deep experience managing product development from inception to support for large and small companies in the areas of payments, mobility, media applications and internet advertising. He was previously a co-founder of Matchmaker.com (bought by Lycos), and has led product management at Orange Silicon Valley, mobile payments provider BOKU, and Sling Media, among others. Brian has a BA degree in economics and a BS degree in computer science from Stanford University.

Joining his former U.C. Berkeley classmate Steven Khuong, Ross played a key role in creating Curacubby and bringing its solution to market, having experienced the headaches of writing checks to pay school tuition each month as a parent. With deep experience in solving complex issues in "Big Data" and financial risk management industries, Ross brings his tenacity to ensure success for every customer. Prior to helping in the creation of Curacubby, where he now leads the company’s operations, he was a Strategic Account Director at GoodData, and was also Director of Professional Services for Moody’s Analytics.
Gary Marino

Highly respected for his long history of success in banking and fintech, Gary is well recognized for building high-performance management teams, collaborative cultures and bringing his tireless work ethic and creativity to business opportunities and challenges. Gary was most recently Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Chairman of the Operating Committee at PayPal, where he led business units in the 220 countries and delivered seven consecutive years of 20+ percent revenue growth, 30+ percent growth in customer acquisitions and margin expansion - making it one of a handful of publicly listed companies to deliver such notable results. Gary joined PayPal in 2008 through its $1 Billion acqusitioin of Bill Me Later, an innovative alternative digital payment and credit service, which he founded and led. Previously, Gary held executive management roles in the financial services industry, including Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Credit Officer at Bank One Card Division (now JPMorgan Chase) and Chief Credit Officer at Citibank’s Global Credit Card Divisions. A graduate of Syracuse University and Indiana State University, Gary is a board member of the Johns Hopkins Discovery Fund for Research in Rheumatology.
Gabriela Vilaro

Gabriela has 14 years of finance and investing experience across the consumer, technology and financial services sectors. She has helped a wide variety of companies, from early stage startups to large publicly traded multinationals, upgrade their finance, corporate development and strategic planning functions. Gabriela currently is a member of the finance team at Facebook, where she leads finance for the Central Product Services division. She also serves as a board director at Finaktiva, a high growth Latin American fintech company, and as Chief Financial Officer of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Northern California. Gabriela previously was VP of Corporate Development at Zume Inc, a consumer-tech start-up. Earlier in her career, Gabriela was a senior investor at Investor AB, ($40bn AUM) and Quadrant Capital ($20bn AUM), where she invested in over 20 companies across the United States, Europe and Latin America. Gabriela holds a BS degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark has spent over 20 years building businesses at the intersection of the internet, commerce, and information technology. Mark's background includes successfully developing and executing global growth strategies, acquisitions and joint ventures, startup fundraising and investing. Mark was CEO of Magento, acquired by Adobe in 2018. Prior to taking the helm at Magento in 2015, he served as Senior Vice President of Product for eBay Enterprise, held a number of leadership positions within eBay Inc., including SVP of Strategy and Business Development for both eBay Inc. and PayPal. Mark co-founded Bill Me Later, acquired by eBay in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University.

Mark has been a successful Executive and Angel investor. His investments have centered on Fintech, Security and Marketplaces including Mint, Check, Practice Fusion and Thumbtack and he has worked with many startups including Bill.com PayCycle, Nolo, Baby Center and PassMark Security (where he was cofounder). He was a partner at Morgenthaler Ventures investing in early stage companys (Fundly, RelateIQ). He also served as GM of Intuit’s Consumer Division including TurboTax, Quicken and Quicken Loans and led new product development for Charles Schwab. After over 40 years in the financial services industry, Mark continues to look for the curves in the road that present investment opportunity. Mark also served as a trustee and as President of the Los Altos School District Board of Trustees and advises the Khan Academy. Mark currently works with Personal Capital advising on “Strategery and Growth”, and is on the boards of Candex, Better Finance, Credit Interlink and Life360.

Ellen Perelman is one of Silicon Valley’s top marketing executives. With over 20 years of experience leading data-driven marketing initiatives, she has helped large, public companies and venture-backed startups build teams and functions from the ground up, re-tool existing structures, and scale marketing and business performance in growth and mature categories. Ellen held VP and GM roles at category-differentiating online consumer products/services companies including Yahoo, Quicken, E-Stamp, and Credit.com. She holds a BS degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Masters of Business Administrator from U.C. Berkeley.

Ron is an entrepreneurial executive and investor with more than a decade of business and product management experience and 52 issued patents to his name. Ron currently serves as Chief Product Officer at DocuSign where he is responsible for product strategy, roadmap and development. Prior to DocuSign, Ron was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Khosla Ventures and Mayfield Fund. Previously Ron was co-founder and President at BOKU, where his responsibilities included creating and managing the BOKU product/service, go-to-market plan, marketing, public relations, business development and corporate development.

Pierre is an experienced tech entrepreneur, executive, and C-level advisor to numerous FinTech startups and large financial institutions. He has over 20 years of experience as a business and corporate development executive defining disruptive positioning and business strategy for companies at all stages of growth. Pierre has been on the management teams of several venture-funded companies, including Impulse! Buy Network (acquired by Inktomi), Revere Data (acquired by Factset) and Impermium (acquired by Google).

George is a seasoned entrepreneur with over two decades of success founding technology companies. He is the co-founder of Beyondsoft (Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 002649), a leading global IT services provider recognized by Forbes as one of the Top Tech IPOs of 2012, and the Chairman of Zino Ventures. George was also a pioneer who developed Chinese-enabling software for MS-DOS many years prior to Microsoft’s official Chinese version.
Tom Schmitt

Tom is a seasoned financial executive with more than 30 years of expertise in leading financial strategies and operations at technology companies. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at VideoAmp. Prior to joining VideoAmp, Tom was the CFO at FreeWheel.tv (Comcast) and Vice President of Finance for products and technology at Salesforce.com, where he oversaw an operating budget exceeding $1.2 Billion and led financial operations for the company’s R&D, Cloud Infrastructure, Product Management, internal IT, security and G&A organizations. Tom has also served as the Director of IT Finance at storage and data management solutions provider, NetApp. Tom holds a BA in Economics from U.C., Berkeley, and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University.
